To meet ambitious Federal decarbonization goals, agencies will have to think beyond traditional clean energy sources. This could include carbon-free generation technologies, such as fuel cells with integrated hydrolyzers and carbon-free fuels. These technologies promise clean, reliable, resilient prime power for the electric grid, independent operation, or distributed energy resources to help achieve Federal decarbonization goals. This introductory session will provide an overview of carbon-free campus generation technologies and the current state of their development and expected deployment.

- Recognize how coal alternatives can be used as clean energy;
- Identify how fuel cell technology can be deployed as a clean energy generation technology; and
- Recognize how renewable natural gas can be used to increase resilience and power an electric microgrid.
